University of Twente

The University of Twente has used WebHare for many years, for a variety of purposes.

WebHare was first implemented in February 2001 and was initially used only to maintain the abundant news items. Over time, the system has grown into what it is today: the only CMS (content management system) of this entrepreneurial University.

Now, more than 90% of all available information on the (more than 200) University websites is being published and maintained using WebHare, by hundreds of enthusiastic staff members and students.

All faculties, research institutes, supporting services and even the board of directors use our system.

The University has also recently selected WebHare to be the standard platform for all of their web applications.

What are the reasons for this success? Drs. Jan Volbers, Sr. Communication Advisor of the UT Public Relations department, said:
