New functions

Since the implementation of the new @campus design, user numbers grew rapidly and so did the need for new functions in WebHare.

The website makes use of the "WebPack" module nowadays, which makes it very easy to place surveys, polls and forums in the website so that the interaction with the students, future students and employees is facilitated.

Our search engine "Consilio" is also being used on the University of Twente website. The fact that "Consilio" indexes new content the moment it is added to the site and permits immediate search results was decisive in their choice to use Consilio.

Based on their needs and wants, we went to work developing all kinds of add-on features such as photo galleries, a webshop and a variety of database applications used by departments, like the International Office.

Many of these extensions are available as pre-packaged WebHare A.P. modules, however, we have also developed several custom applications, including the Master's degree courses database and accompanying student application form.

The above applications were developed by B-Lex, however, the University has added some of its own functions to the WebHare Application Portal system.
