City Enschede makes Enschede’s past digitally accessible. On the website, the first results are visible. The design was created by Axis based on an idea and functional design by Eluxis. Visitors find what they are looking for quickly and easily, and can also add content or historical material themselves. For example YouTube videos, photos or mp3 files. This leaves the site constantly under development. Highlight is the interactive map and aerial photographs to geographically locate city history. This makes it possible for the inhabitants of Enschede to add their history to ‘de achteruitkijkspiegel’.
