WebDAV - WebHare as a hard disk
The Webhare Application Portal supports the "Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning" protocol, in short: WebDAV.
WebDAV allows you to use the WebHare database as if it was an ordinary network drive. This permits Windows Explorer to connect to your WebHare websites. You can then open and edit the documents directly in Microsoft® Word.
You may still maintain your website in WebHare with the web-based graphical user interface, using just a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla or Opera.

However, WebDAV also lets you view your WebHare site as part of your local network, by connecting to it through Windows Explorer.

This allows you to easily open documents, create new folders, move files and even extract zip files. Your website will still be automatically updated when making edits through the WebDav interface.
